Giveaway Results

Thank you so much for all the comments........I love it! I had Oliver be the one to pick the winner. We have 2 goldens also...but if I had of had Brodie pick it he would have eaten all the slips of paper before I could stop him. He especially loves socks (think emergency surgery). Here is Oliver waiting to go."I wanted to eat it but Mom wouldn't let me" :-(And the winner is Vera! Please send me your address and I will send the quilt right out. I will have more giveaways because my DD is going to organize my sewing room for me for my birthday.
I went to my local quilt shop to only use my $15 full punchcard and came home with this beautiful fabric and this neat book. I absolutely love jellyrolls and this is the best book I have ever seen for them. I want to make all the quilts in it. This is what 2 of my dogs did while I was in my igloo sewing room all afternoon. 17 degrees in Richmond for daytime temps is cold for us. Please don't laugh all those of you with below zero temps. Actually, I rather have cold than our awful humidity in the summer.

Have a good weekend and thank you all for your comments. Check back soon because there will be more fabrics and books given away.

New Blog Giveaway

In celebration of my new blog....(which is going to mean way too much time spent on the computer )I have decided to have a giveaway! I have a new quilt kit that I don't think that i will ever make. My taste in colors has now gone to soft pastels. I don't know why but I find myself buying those.

Please forgive my photography......I am really bad at it. The kit is a Cotton Way Friendship Star pattern with a mix of fabrics from Moda, Thimbleberries, and P&B Textiles. The finished size is 60" by 68". Please leave me a quick message telling me your favorite colors to use in a quilt and I will pull a name on Friday. I just hope people will come ;-)

Have to get with the times....having a quilting blog

Well, I have decided to join the rest of the 21st Century and start a blog. This will be mainly about quilting with some pictures of my furkids thrown and oh yeah my 2 legged ones also. :-)

I am an avid quilter having learned when my 24 year old daughter was just 2. I would leave it here and there and get on knitting sprees but quilting is my number 1 love. I have a 16" Nolting Hobby Quilter so I find myself making quite a few quilts.

More on my next post with pictures to come(as soon as I learn to do that she mumbles under her breath.)

Cathy -who lives on Turtle Hill Circle....what a street name!!
