As I get older and maybe a little bit wiser, I am finding that very little in life gives me as much joy as quilting does. I have been quilting for about 35 years and have never lost the desire to quilt. I have been a spinner, weaver, knitter, clothes seamstress, temari maker, doll maker and even tried my hand at a little bobbin lace, but quilting is the one craft that I go back to time and time again.
I haven't posted in forever so this will just be lots of pics of what I have been up to.
I may not be a good blogger, no, I am a terrible blogger, but I am always sewing. If a day goes by and I can't sew I feel like something is missing. I have been making a few dolls, but a lot of quilts. I made 2 low volume quilts and actually kept one for myself. Because I got a little carried away cutting 5" squares, I will be able to make several more.
You don't think it is going to work out with all of the different fabrics but I think low volume quilts turn out so nice.
My cute photo bomber...
A custom quilt for someone who lives in Germany...
Another custom quilt….I always get such a warm feeling when someone actually wants to buy one of my quilts.
A doll and dolly quilt for a very sweet mama….
What are you working on? I would love to see pictures.
Is anyone interested in doing a "Charmed Whirlygig" quilt along? I have a flickr group that I can revive…I thought it would be fun to do this winter. Please let me know.
Take care and stay warm and safe if you are living where it is snowing and frigid.
