Just can't stop

I love quilting and always have, but I have reached new heights of "have to quilt" lately. I find the whirr of the sewing machine so soothing and just love the last stage when you pull a quilt from the dryer and it is all crinkly and warm. I also love all of the stages, so I don't shove tops in drawers like I maybe have in the past.

More hexagon love

Hexagon Quilts

I have discovered hexagons...well the large ones. I tried English  piecing a few years ago and decided it wasn't for me. But I love sewing the larger ones. I used a half hexie ruler with this doll quilt and will quilt a lap sized one tomorrow.

Hope everyone is doing well,
Cathy

Late to the Party

There have been so many beautiful pictures of the granny square quilt block as well as quilt alongs. I promised myself that I would make a quilt using them. I am a little late to the party but am just smitten with making this block. The color possibilities are endless.

Now just 19 more to go. ;-)

Take care,
Cathy

New Quilts

I have been selling some of my quilts and it makes me so very happy!

And I have been using a fusible interfacing to make pillow covers and love this method. It seems to be so much faster than sewing the small squares one at a time.

Cathy

Beavering away

I have been working hard in my studio making lots of quilts and pillows as well as learning how to sew hexagons and of course dolls.

I am excited to see photos from Quilt Market this year. I can not wait until Bonnie and Camille's new line Scrumptious hits the quilt shops.
Take care everyone,
Cathy

Quilting Love

I have been quilting so much  lately. I think part of the reason is that is still chilly outside and also that I find sewing on  my sewing machine so soothing. We had to send our beautiful Brodie to the Rainbow Bridge on February1st and quilting has helped keep my mind occupied. Not that there has not been a river of tears shed.

Mainly I have been using Bonnie and Camille fabrics....I have purchased every single line that they have designed. But, I had this top that I used MoMo charm packs for and love the way it turned out.

A little wonderland......

And of course "Marmalade"by Bonnie and Camille....

Take care,
Cathy
