And I think that this is the culprit! I made 7 dolls in the last 2 weeks, having them right beside meon a table next to the chair I sit in. Never once did Brodie try to get them.
Today, I had 2 arms, 2 legs and the tummy section waiting on the table to be stuffed. Well, I can.not.find. them anywhere! Now, this is the sock eating dog who eats everything if we are not careful and believe me after 2 expensive surgeries we are careful. But somehow I do believe that he grabbed them when my back was turned for a second. Little stinker!!! In this picture he is eating a name in one of my giveaways. He no longer gets to pick them!!!
Doll parts will not be recycled......would be way too gross. LOL
Now for my giveaway......I have a Moda "Objects of my Affection" Jelly Roll to give away along with a custom 12" Waldorf Doll. I will choose a name next Monday, and will share the details of the dolls.
Now, who would like to adopt a gorgeous golden retriever???? My husband would kill me....so I am just kidding and I love the old mess myself.
Take care,
Cathy
Poor little boy he look so guilty and so very sorry. I have two little thiefs in my house. My little boy Maltese, but he admits when he has done wrong, I ask who did it and he smiles. Then there is the new Pomeranian, she is 7 months and she will follow me in the sewing room and off she goes with whatever she can find. Hope your little boy is OK if he ate the parts.
ReplyDeleteThe dolls are adorable! The dog! Oh my, I have a sock eating, kid toy chewing, plastic container chewing lab mix......wouldn't trade him for the world! Sorry I'm laughing. ;) If you're serious, put a stamp on him and send him my way.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you will not recycle the objects....it would be funny if you could catch him in the act....
ReplyDeleteYour giveaway sounds wonderfl!
Ahhhh.....look at those innocent eyes. I can't believe you would accuse him of such a crime.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, what a stinker! Sneaky fella! What a wonderful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI could just see the caption above his photo! "Who Me? Couldn't Be!" You know that song from taking cookies from the cookie jar!! Having one of those moments when I hear the song in my head I guess.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
Oh Brodie!!! He's too sweet looking to be a serial killer. :)
ReplyDeletePoor mistreated pup! I have an eleven month old schnauzer and she is busy, busy into everything and I do mean everything, I catch her with fabric hanging out of her mouth, today it was a writing pen!
ReplyDeletei can not believe you are giving away one of your dolls...they are so precious!!!! i sure hope that the dog did not eat the doll parts. that can't be good.
ReplyDeleteOh DEAR, I hope his tummy does get upset! Poor thing, he's just lookin' for a treat! LOL I'd love to be entered..thanks for a great giveaway!

ReplyDeleteYour giveaway sound great. Please count me in.
I would love to be entered for your giveaway! And, nooo, don't think my family would let me adopt your dog. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic give away! I am enjoying seeing your dolls - I found myself googling how to's for the dolls but stopped myself because I do not need to start a new hobby! Maybe I will win the one in your giveaway and then I won't have to make any!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing Brodie is so cute or he would be in BIG trouble. What a fantastic giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOh my, he's so sweet. What a face.
ReplyDeleteOur rotty is a notorious sock thief but this morning Bullet decided to try something a little different...a gift bow of all things!
Not to worry though, it "resurfaced". YUCK!!
Please include me for this amazing chance for one of your dolls and the jelly roll.
Carolyn
I absolutely love your dolls, Would love the opportuntiy to give one a new home.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the dog hasn't done too badly with the toys...
xx
Look at his sweet little innocent face...LOL! Sorry I'm laughing...our lab Norm that we had before the boys, used to get the arms and legs of the Santas I used to make...he never ate them but he would get them very wet and sloppy, always had to make new ones...but I wouldn't have traded him for the world.
ReplyDeleteBrodie looks too cute to be guilty! Love your giveaway...your dolls are adorable.
ReplyDeleteawww, how precious, hope his belly is ok
ReplyDeleteThat look! They all give it away don't they! But we love them to pieces regardless. Enter me please...I love the dolls and can always make room for more fabric.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the jelly roll. Your Golden is adorable! I'd take him in a heartbeat!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway, I love Jelly Rolls!
ReplyDeleteAwww how innocent looking :) I bet he didn't do it, maybe the hubby did! thanks for a chance to win a jelly roll - my new obsession!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous and no doubt completely innocent ... dog! Fab giveaway too!
ReplyDeleteWhy, oh why must our beloved pets be so darned annoying? Our golden will eat anything too! Thanks for the chance to win! My 3 1/2 year old son has spent the weekend with his cousins( all girls) and has been asking for a doll. Could be perfect!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. Would love to win the jellyroll.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness....he looks a little ashamed of himself in the picture! :) too cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway...I love jelly rolls and the dolls. :)
Naughty doggy! What a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSounds like one of my dogs. I think they just want our attention when they get into trouble or they want to make what we're making. Love jelly rolls to. Real and fabric.
ReplyDeleteDogs...gotta love them. Sweet giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHilarious! He does have that guilty look :) Small price for all that unconditional love & tail wags!
ReplyDeleteOh what a great giveaway. Thank you. I don't know if I'd be more excited about the doll or the fabric. Those are some of the cutest faces I've ever seen.

ReplyDeleteCurrently my cocker's favorite snack is Barbie arms and legs. Thanks for the give away.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog, great giveaway! Cute doggie.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, finally someone else that has a sock eating dog!! I am at my wits end with our pup, Lexi - we are soooo careful - and yet somehow, she keeps finding socks and eating them! :( soo not good for her belly! Has anything worked with Brodie? (haha obviously not, eh?) but any tips would be appreciated! On a lighter note, great giveaway!!! LOL

ReplyDeleteAww what a sweetie! My pup (i call him that but he is 3 now) likes to steal socks but i imagine if he could get a doll he would take it in a heartbeat. lol. What a fantastic give-a-way. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he wanted a doll of his own? Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteteekayb29@gmail.com
I think your dog and my girls would be quite the combonation, even for just a few hours they'd get into a lot of mischief!
ReplyDeleteYour puppy is so CUTE! Mine likes to get in the garbage and also has a fondness for eating really gross things outside on walks. Overall, I think I'd prefer that he ate doll body parts. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a smart dog! Sounds like he gets away with a lot...and without getting caught! That's amazing. And the giveaway sounds amazing too ;) I wouldn't mind winning, but definitely DO NOT let Brodie pick!
ReplyDeletestylin.master@yahoo.com
Dogs, you gotta love them.
ReplyDeleteYour dog is trying to show his affection for the dolls ;-)
ReplyDeleteCount me in for your giveaway, please...
Brodie's got that guilty look on this face....
ReplyDeleteIf my dog was there, there would just be stuffing everywhere, luckily he doesn't eat things (except my plants in the garden!)
I know the feeling--my innocent little puggle snagged a baby bunnie and was happy as a clam. Ugh!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I promise, the dog will not get near the doll! Not that she'd want it anyway, now that's she's a were-dog!!
thanks for the giveaway chances!
Sweet baby-faced pooch...how could he get into any trouble? I have not held a doll in 25 yrs...there is just something wrong with that picture, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBridgette
Me, me ,,, I would love to win a jelly roll! Your dog definitely looks guilty in the picture.
ReplyDeleteI will swap you for our dog that retrieves our corks from the water when we try to go fishing. We even tried to give him to a cousin that just loves him and he broke a log chain and was on our doorstep the next morning!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! :)
What a perfect picture for your story. I have an anxious black lab if you need a friend for him.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
THANK YOU for this Giveaway!

ReplyDeleteHaha, aww, he's so cute! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSuppose Brodie feels left out?? He's so cute. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe that sweet innocent looking dog ate the doll parts.LOL. We have a miniture long hair daschund that will get into your coffee cup if it is left unattended. Glad you aren't recycling the parts. :)
ReplyDeleteSo funny! I would love to adopt Brodie - I think he would enjoy living with our two Goldens, Susie and Darla. But if you change your mind, I will take the jelly roll and Waldorf doll instead!
ReplyDeleteOh I hope your puppy doesn't have a belly ache! That would not be a good thing!!
ReplyDeleteYour dolls are adorable, thank you for the great give away!

I don't have a dog but I have two cats who think they are dogs. One of which, besides loving to fetch and chewing shoes, has eaten a thumb tack, a super ball and a pin cushion - among other things!
ReplyDeleteHopefully he just moved the doll parts. Thanks for the great giveaway fun.
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway, thanks for a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteGotta love the dog! And thanks for the opportunity to win something special!
ReplyDeleteI can't take your dog, but I would love to have your fabric or dolls. :)
ReplyDeleteMy dog would eat any small animal he could catch. Fortunately he hasn't caught many but he did kill one of my neighbour's chickens which were running loose in the yard. The squirrels, gophers and birds are pretty safe. I know he would LOVE to catch a cat. But body parts! Hmmmm. Thanks for a chance in your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteYou know that big dogs are perpetual toddlers, right? What a lovely giveaway, Cathy. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHe looks guilty for sure. I don't think you need to retrieve the body parts either-- you're right it would be gross!
ReplyDeleteHope all goes smoothly for both of you! Love the dolls!
I had a golden retriever, and they are just the sweetest dogs! Too bad about the body parts, though. That is really frustrating!
ReplyDeleteOh Brodie... you didn't?!?! Do NOT eat Mama's dollie parts. If you eat the arms and legs we won't get to see the finished dolls. And they are too cute to miss.
ReplyDeleteMy little dog loves to chew on things, mainly pens now. He jumps up into our chairs at our desks and steals the pens and chews them to bits. Just found your lovely blog, please enter me in your generous giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThe dingo ate your baby parts!

ReplyDeleteI think we (dog owners) have all been there. I can't tell you how many things have vanished into thin dog hair! But as they say everything comes out in the end! lol
ReplyDeleteThank you for your giveaway. Please enter me in your drawing. I can imagine how you feel after all that work. Most anyone with pets or living among wild creatures can relate.

poor boy .. looks so guilty. My sweet golden likes to steal tissues from the garbage. N.a.s.t.y. Still love him to bits. Anyway, I would love a chance to win!!
ReplyDeleteCount me in - such fun to play with a jelly roll! What a beautiful dog you have!
ReplyDeleteltenhage@gmail.com
I have an indiscriminately omnivorous dog also, so I'll pass on the dog, but the rest of the giveaway sounds GREAT! (last winter, dog ate my f-i-l's hat, then barfed it back up. F-i-l washed it, and wants to wear it, but something keeps stopping him - perhaps the delicate "eau de bile"?
ReplyDeleteLove the Objects line of fabric and your dolls are adorable. Can't take that cute dog though, you would miss it too much!
ReplyDeleteHe looks a little ashamed! I know that look from my 'children'! I'd love to win :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing giveaway! I've really been wanting to make a Waldorf doll for my daughter, but you know, have 11 million projects already in the works, so....
ReplyDeleteHopefully Mr. Golden can no longer reach any soft squishy fabric things....or you have great pet insurance! :)
Wow! What fun. :)
ReplyDeletei love your dolls!
ReplyDeletei wouldnt mind being a dog around your work table and grabing some doll parts... maybe even a doll! :-)
thanks!
Poor puppy...hope he doesn't get a tummy ache! I was enjoying seeing the paint process on the socks and feet. Thank you for your giveaway, Cathy, toss my name in. Pokey
