I've always been a groundhog, but now I'm officially a speed limit too!

I know that my title probably doesn't make much sense, but I have a little giveaway for someone who is able to guess what I mean! Well, if you just leave your name I will still put you in the "dog eating" bowl to pull a name. (about a dozen or so posts back shows what I am talking about)This is a very colorful bundle of 12 fatquarters. Most, if not all is Kaffe Fasset fabric. It would look so nice in a whirlygig or pinwheel quilt. The background used would make these colors pop! I will also put in more goodies to fill the box up. One of my favorite things is to see how much I can fit in a flat rate box and still tape it shut. ;-)
Please leave your answer to what you think my title means.
I will post directions for a larger no trim whirlygig quilt tomorrow.
Have a great day everyone,
Cathy

  2. I can't come up with a better idea than birthdays and ages, but I wish I were more clever. Maybe---well, no, you wouldn't advertise being a party animal and a fast woman. We'll stick with the first guess. :)

  7. Hmm, speed limit in school zones is 20, but, since your bio says you learned to quilt 22 years I doubt its that :) But I am going with birthday... maybe like the song, I can't drive 55?

  8. I'm not sure how fair this is. I had no idea what you meant until I saw the other comments. It makes sense to me.... it's your birthday and you must be 25, 35, 40, or 55? Let's stick with 25 or 35... it's sounds nicer!

  9. Love your blog and quilts!

I’ve done some googling. Groundhog day is a holiday celebrated on the 2nd of February. I guess it’s your birthday today. And from your profile I understand you are 55, so I guess you refer to the 55 mile speed limit?

Happy Birthday from a fellow Aquarius!

  10. Happy Birthday to you today, and I'm guessing you're now at an age that ends in 5. From here you look really young, so I won't guess which number. I'd love to play with those Kaffe fat quarters. thanks for the chance to win!

  13. Happy 55th Birthday, Cathy! Warm greetings from Australia - and it is hot here now... As speed limits go, 55 is really quite low - you still have 60, 75, 80, 90, 100 and 110 in front of you! Of course, I'm talking kilometres...

  21. I'm thinking birthday, 55, all that stuff. From the grand old age of 66, let me tell you that if you are 55 you are still just a spring chicken (as my mama used to say)!

  25. Happy Birthday!! I had to laugh when you said that you liked to put as much as you can in the box, when my son moved to Houston and I would send him "care packages" i would then have to go shopping for little goodies to use as 'packing'!!! The fabrics are beautiful! I hope that you have a blessed day!!

  26. Happy Birthday! Since I wouldn't want to be 25 again, refuse to be 55 myself, I'm going to say your are cruising at 35...enjoy the view.

  27. is it someone's birthday too? The first time I read it I thought it said "I am now a speed bump too" and I was thinking oh no, did you get hit by a car? I don't want to offend you but it's either 30 or 55 I think if you are Zodiac Year: Sheep like your profile says =)

  28. Speed limits in my neck of the woods: 45 or 65???? Don't hit me! Happy Bday too!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Happy Birthday, birthday girl! I'm guessing 55 too, but only because you've quilted for 22 years, and that puts you right around, um-m, I guess that would be me?

  30. Well, I'm late to the game, but I would echo what everyone else said -- Happy Birthday today. I wouldn't want to hazard a guess on what speed limit you are, but since I've seen your lovely daughter on here, I'm going to assume that you are more than 35. ;)

  31. I think today is your 110th posting...you must drive really fast...and groundhogs help you dig those posts!!

  34. Well, off hand I'd say that being a ground hog means that February 2nd is your birthday. (Happy bday btw!) As to the speed limit, that can have a WIDE range of meanings.

Here in my little po-dunk town, the speed limit is 25. Out on the interstate here in Indiana, the speed limit is 70. Haha! Choose which ever you'd like. :-)

  35. Happy Birthday. And congrats on another fine year. Age is a state of mind, so 55 is just a little faster than 54.

  41. I am thinking that it is your birthday? If so Happy Birthday! I would say the speed limit refers to your age. I am from Canada so I don't what that speed limit age would be.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I hope I am not too late . . . I think your age is posted on most speed limit signs - sometimes known as double nickles!
thanks for the larger size pattern and directions - I think I would like to try the larger size . .
