I didn't feel like working with long pieces of fabric ( borders) this morning so I pulled one of my WIP boxes off the shelf instead. I have always loved the look of the Hunter Star block but it seemed so tedious. I found this pattern about a year ago and would work on it in spurts. The pattern makes the block easy and lot's of fun.
The fabric is from an old Moda line-Folkloric by Figtree and the cream is probably from P&B Textiles. I love their white on whites, etc.
Oh my that is stunning! Is that pattern difficult?
ReplyDeleteNot at all....I ordered several Hunter's Star patterns and this was the easiest to do. It's actually really fun to make and I love only having to chose 2 colors. Here is the link: http://www.yellowhousequilter.com/patterns.htm
ReplyDeleteCathy
Cathy it is just beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've bookmarked that pattern link cuz I don't like to do stars at all. Maybe it will change my mind
ReplyDeleteI have lots of that same figtree fabric. In the red/green and tan/green. It's so pretty and looks really striking with the white -- especially that one -- love those little tone on tone paisleys.
Love it!
ReplyDeleteThese stars are fun to sew. Have a creative day
ReplyDeleteNice quilt! Where did you get your pattern? You said it was a easier version right?
