I put on my headphones and sang to songs on my ipod ( poor dogs) and stayed in my sewing room until I finished quilting this quilt. It is ready for binding
as is this one that I finished quite a while ago. Time to get sewing. I like binding but I need to find a thimble or something to help keep my fingers from getting so sore.
The sun finally came out , but I have to go get a mammogram so I will miss most of it. I am pretty nervous because my Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer last fall. She is finished with radiation and is doing great so early detection is the best. Thing is I haven't been in a while....dumb me I know.
Take care,
Cathy
Cathy, the quilts looks lovely, why don't you try machine binding?
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your mom, but glad to hear she's doing well. Good luck with your mammogram... I hear it isn't pleasant but I've never had one done.
Cathy,
ReplyDeleteI too quilt on the longarm to my ipod music, the problem with that is, I'm not in my home but in my retail store...the girls make fun of me as I sing "ring of fire" by Johnny Cash...way to funny.
Sure love that polka dot binding! I absolutely love to hand bind.
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing w/my mammogram scheduling so I understand your concern. Hang in there -- Sorry for your mom. Sending good vibes to both of you.
Oh, Cathy, I absolutely LOVE that cherry one -- I love red, pink, and green together. And your quilting looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCute quilt! Glad your mom is doing good. My mom died 29 yrs ago from breast cancer because she was diagnosed late. And I still am late with getting my mammogram - Take care.
