I wanted to post a picture of one of my favorite quilts and quilt patterns. The fabric is by Kansas Troubles for Moda and the pattern is by Atkinson Designs.
It uses a jelly roll and then background fabric so it is an economical quilt to make with lots of punch!
Have a great weekend......it is going to be in the 90's this weekend in Midlothian, Va. Yuck! Too soon for such temperatures.
Oh boy...this one caught by eye at Quilters Blogs! I love the colors and design. You said one jelly roll? Hmmmm...I've got one but not this line. Like I need another project! LOL
ReplyDeleteCathy, is that Stars & Strips Pattern? I would never have thought of a jelly roll for that quilt...very cool.
ReplyDeleteIt is the Stars and Strips Pattern, but I did change the border. It was made with just one jelly roll and makes a pretty good size lap quilt. I plan on making another one with Patisserie by Fig Tree Quilts. I have some Bella Solid in Figtree Cream to use for the background. I think it will turn out well.

Oh Cathy I just love it! It was 88 here today...too darn hot, too early.
ReplyDeleteOooh... I love it! I'm going to have to look up that pattern, just gorgeous Cathy!
ReplyDeleteAnother great one Cathy... I have yet to make a star quilt (unless you count my dismal attempt at Quiltville's mystery quilt).
ReplyDeleteWhere do you use this beauty-- or is it a display quilt?
Lucy, I use the quilt in my family room to snuggle under when it is chilly. Of course being 96 degrees today it definitely won't be used! LOL The stars on this quilt are really easy.....the designer calls them floating stars because you don't have points to match up.

Your quilt is beautiful! I have done 3 quilts in Kansas Troubles and have tons of scraps so this is a great quilt for that fabric!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilts en dolls.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful.
