100th Post Giveaway :-)

I am having a 100th post giveaway as my way of thanks to all the people who have supported my blog and also all the wonderful quilters who share so much on their blogs. Sometimes I think that I just won't blog any more , but then I realize how much the comments motivate me to quilt even more. I especially want to thank those who read my posts faithfully even when I go for weeks without a new post. I will never be a "famous blogger", but truly appreciate those who visit.

I am going to give away three things: 30 fatquarters of Moda's Figtree "Allspice Tapestry" with a little extra yardage, 2008 Fatquarter Shop's Christmas Block of the Month with fabric by 3 Sister's "Peace on Earth" for Moda fabric and a coin quilt top with Moda's "Recipe for Friendship" fabric.
(Do you think Moda will hire me for a commercial) ;-)
The Figtree fatquarters.....
Block of the Month Club 2008 - all 12 months, but not the finishing kit. I think that you can still find the Peace on Earth fabric. I will put in a little extra yardage though to use for borders and binding.
Lap-sized Coin quilt...I will put in some extra fabric for the binding.
I am using a medium sized flat rate box to ship, so I may pop in a few more goodies to get my money's worth.

If you are interested in this giveaway, all I ask is that you please leave me a way to get in touch and if you so wish, I would love to know how many quilts that you have made since you started quilting. I will do a drawing the day after Thanksgiving.......I do not shop on that day! LOL

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy

  2. Hi I'll start with easy question 20 or so in the last 13 years. I have made more in the last 2 or 3 years than the first couple of years. I have lots of tops or ideas for tops in my head so I will more than double that number in the next couple of years.
And as for giveaways I am always in love the gifts on offer and congratulations on 100 posts

  3. I'm loving this give away!! I have been a follower for ages and love it! I have made too many quilts for me to keep track of ...maybe 100-150? That is just a guess...and I consider myself a beginner...always learning something new! Congratulations! Keep up the fantastic blog! Take care!

  5. Including minis, I've made about 25 quilts, and consider myself very much a beginner with a lot left to learn. Congratulations on your 100 posts. I'm only at 81 and am planning what I'll do for my 100th.

  8. Congratulations on your 100th post! What a generous give-away you've planned. I'd don't plan on shopping either on Friday. Spening the day sewing sounds just perfect. I think I've completed around 20 quilts in the last 6 or 7 years. I just love quilting especially sharing quilts with others. Take care!

  9. Cathy- Congrats on 100 posts! That's awesome! :)
Everything you giveaway is always so generous and beautiful! You are one thoughtful lady! :)
As far as how mnay quilts I've made, I have no clue! I've lost count. If I were to guess though I would probably say it's around 75 over the past 10 years. I do keep a journal with photos and notes about every quilt I make. It's fun to go back and look through it from my first quilt to my most recent!

  10. congratulations on 100 posts. How wonderful. I really have no idea how many quilts I have made, but far fewer than others who have been quilting for nearly 20 years! I would put it around 40 quilts. but I certainly hope to increase my numbers! krousegirl2 at aol dot com I will leave my email although I think you will have access to it...would hate to loose out on this fantastic giveaway!

  11. So happy for your 100th post! You are being very generous, thank you for this opportunity. I have quilted for 30+ years, but some of those did not see even 1 quilt completed. Other years, it would be as many as one a month, counting baby and doll quilts.
My biggest accomplishment was one summer when I made five, three were wedding gifts at full size.
Now, quilt pieced tops, that's another story; there are quite a few of those laying around here somewhere....! :-} Pokey

  12. Cathy,
What a nice giveaway- you are going to make some people very happy with your generous gifts.
I began quilting (seriously /steadily???) in 1996. Since then, I have made over 50 large quilts (queen sized ones) and a number of smaller quilts. You can see some of my pieces on my blog here: http://quiltmomsjourney.blogspot.com/
I tend to quilt in fits and spurts of time and as I am a teacher, I am my most productive as a quilter in the summer.
I hope that you continue to enjoy blogging. I know that I have met so many wonderful quilters through Blogging.

    Warmest regards,
    Anna

  13. Beautiful giveaway, thank you.

Gosh how many quilts since 2002 ... I don't know. I do know that in 2008 I made 45 lap quilts for charities, my most productive year. I'm going to say in 7yrs I've made 150 quilts, 95% was for charities.

Please throw my name into the hat.

  14. Congrats on your 100 posts!! What a very generous giveaway. I really do not have a good idea of how many quilts I have made in the last 25 years. I am going to guess maybe 75 (more or less)? Please enter me in your sweet giveaway :-)

I discovered blogs about quilting at the beginning of the summer, and have truly been encouraged by them - I have been slow to catch on to the concept but find a great sense of community. Since I started, I have completed 5 quilts of various sizes as well as various small projects, and have loved it!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Congrats. I love reading quilting blogs - they keep inspiring me. I've made probably 20 or so quilts - mostly baby quilts for friends and family.

  32. One of the reasons I started to follow your blog was that you were new to blogging, didn't have a million followers and I felt connected like me a year or so ago too.
I like the connection to "friends" who share the same addiction to this craft and who help and laugh along with us.
Do keep posting for just those reasons, you have fellow bloggers who like what you do and visit often...that's why we blog...to stay connected.

  33. Oh, my goodness, Cathy! You are seriously the most generous woman. I keep being amazed by you. I feel slightly greedy entering your giveaway, but I cannot help myself. I love all your stuff, especially the Fig Tree fabric. I probably made my first quilt by myself when I was 18. So since that time I am not sure how many quilts I have made. There are probably 50 just floating around the house -- mostly kid-sized quilts. I have probably made at least 200 or 300 quilts (not counting the huge amount of quilt tops waiting in the queue to be quilted).

Thanks for such a generous giveaway. Love all your quilts.

  34. you can reach me via my cute little blog (I think if you click on my name it will take you there, if not http:/blogginmommy.blogspot.com and in my profile is my e-mail

I am sure you can figure that all out though, seeing as you are on blogger too hehe.

I started quilting basically in 2005, I had a baby in 2006, and again one this past august, but inbetween takign care of them I made 10 finished quilts, two waiting on binding, three pinned (I HATE that part) ready to quilt together on my little pfaff, and let me go count....4 tops done waiting on batting and/or backing, four quilts with at least 1/2 the blocks done (I hesitated at the hard and/or applique blocks for a little while) two leaders/enders quilts going, one top almost done not already counted, and I am collecting for the Red Zinger quilt, and lastly, have been cutting strips and sorting by color for a Calanger Quilt to start on Jan 1st! Alright, now I am a little overwhelmed =)

  35. I'd say somewhere between 20 and 25. I started as a teen and am ... well older now.

  41. What, what a great giveaway. I have been on disability for eighteen years and it was then I taught myself have to quilt. Quilting has become a daily therapy and I just couldn't live without my "little quilting den". As for the number of quilts I have made, I would have to say around fifteen. I have also made numerous table runners and pillows.

I only have the new ones posted there, need to put pics of the old!, thank you for the chance and please pick me :)

  45. Love the fabrics. They are so different than what we can get here in Guatemala. I have quilted across 3 continents over the past 20 years or so. I would guess that personally I have made about 40 quilts of all sizes. For the past 12 years our group here has made about 250 baby quilts that we give at the churches' baby dedications. That has cut down on personal production, but we have been able to try out lots and lots of new designs.

  51. Congrats on 100 posts!!! How exciting. What a great giveaway (OK, I admit that love the Christmas BOM).

I really don't know how many quilts I've made since I've started quilting, I'd have to say about 10 complete tops and about 15 quilt tops waiting to be quilted and another 15 quilts in mid progress... Man that's a lot of UFOs.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Congratulations on your 100th post! I don't think I'll ever get to 100. I can't really say for sure how many quilts I've made. My guess would be well over 100. I try to take pictures of each quilt, but I don't always remember to do it. I've been involved with Charlotte's Garden and Quilts of Valor for years. I have about 20 quilts here around the house, but mostly I give them away. Thank you for entering my name in your giveaway!

As to how many quilts I've done, not nearly enough. I've maybe completed 10 in my 6yrs but working, kids, and now school totally eats up my crafty time. It's killing me. I've got SO many ideas flying around in my mind and NO time to do it. Ugh!

I have made many quilts for friends who were dying and they were buried with them. that was my special gift toi them. Claudia

  90. Congrats on your 100th post. I just started and find it to be so much fun! I am re-starting my quilting after setting it aside for some time... but in years past I have completed about 15 baby quilts and the same number of king / queen quilts.
